Market Notches Gain

Last week the market continued it's steady movement upward, reaching another all-time high on the S&P 500 (noted on the charts below). The market dislikes uncertainty. The elections resulting in a unified congress with republicans having a majority in both the House and Senate, reveals a much clearer picture than in the past. Although the market can always find things to worry about, it seems there are fewer worries than there have been in the previous months. As a result, the market appears to be continuing with buoyancy towards the upside.
